Welcome to the BlueSpice Galaxy!

The BlueSpice Galaxy is your organization's central knowledge management environment. It brings together the information, documentation, and collaboration spaces you need for your daily work. Whether you are looking for onboarding materials, process documentation, project information, or best practices, the Galaxy helps you find what you need in one connected place, making information easier to find, access, and use in your daily work.
When you log in, you arrive in the Main wiki. It is your starting point in the Galaxy and typically contains organization-wide information that is relevant to everyone. From here, you can navigate to Subwikis dedicated to specific topics, teams, projects, or business functions, as well as the Shared resources wiki.
The wikis in the Galaxy support collaborative editing. Depending on your permissions, you can create new pages, improve existing content, and share your knowledge with others. As colleagues contribute and maintain information together, the Galaxy becomes a trusted source of knowledge that grows with your organization and helps preserve valuable expertise over time.

From wiki to knowledge platform

Your BlueSpice Galaxy is more than just a place to store information; it provides the foundation for building and maintaining reliable knowledge within your organization.
Organizations use the BlueSpice Galaxy for many different purposes, from managing internal knowledge bases and process documentation to supporting quality management and other business applications. By combining flexible wiki functionality with structured approaches to documentation, the BlueSpice Galaxy helps organizations create knowledge that can be trusted and used over time.

About this user manual

This user manual explains the concepts and features you need to work with content in the BlueSpice Galaxy. It is intended for users who read, create, edit, and review information, and helps you understand how to use the platform's tools effectively in your daily work.
The manual focuses on functionality that is specific to the Galaxy and on important concepts for organizing and maintaining content. The Galaxy is based on MediaWiki, the software that also powers Wikipedia. Many core wiki features are therefore already covered in the extensive MediaWiki documentation at mediawiki.org. Where appropriate, this manual refers you to the relevant MediaWiki resources.
If you are responsible for managing the structure of a specific Subwiki or administering the entire Galaxy, please refer to the corresponding administrator documentation.
