The onboarding process ensures that new employees are integrated into the organization in a structured, efficient, and consistent way. It supports employees from the moment they accept an offer through their first weeks on the job.

The process is designed to provide a clear transition into the company, combining administrative preparation, team integration, and early performance enablement.

Onboarding is a cross-functional process involving HR, hiring managers, IT support, and the employee’s team. Each stakeholder contributes specific activities to ensure a smooth start.

Process Objectives

  • Ensure all administrative and technical requirements are completed before the employee starts
  • Enable a structured first-week experience
  • Support early role clarity and team integration
  • Define expectations and milestones for the first 30 days
  • Collect feedback to continuously improve the onboarding experience

Process Phases

The onboarding process is divided into three phases:

  1. Pre-Onboarding Preparation: Preparation begins after the offer is accepted. HR and the hiring manager coordinate administrative tasks, system setup, and initial planning.
  2. First Week Experience: The employee is introduced to the team, tools, workflows, and expectations. A dedicated onboarding buddy supports daily orientation.
  3. First 30 Days Integration: The employee gradually transitions into independent work, supported by structured milestones, feedback loops, and performance alignment.
